27-D1 Affiliate District Lioness Report

Lioness Greetings!

We are maintaining the twelve remaining Lioness Clubs in our district. Our count as of December 31, 2009 was 387 Lioness. All the clubs were especially busy during the holidays donating time and money to buy gifts for families in need to ensure they also had a good season. I am proud to say we earn our motto of "We Serve Too!"

We are preparing for the district convention with PDP Carolyn Tiber and PADP Carol Aultman along with me on the committee. We are encouraging Lioness to attend. And we are also hopeful that you will enjoy our sponsored speaker "The Hat Lady" at the opening ceremony.

At the convention we will be presenting a Lioness with a district-wide Knight of Sight Award. We asked each club to nominate at least one member for this award. A committee is reviewing the applications now and we hope to keep it a secret until the opening ceremony when it is announced. We do have a full slate of officers to be elected at the convention (Cobb Lioness/PADP Carol Aultman for ADP, Cottage Grove Lioness/Diabetes Chair Amy Paulson for VP, and Stoughton Lioness/Secretary Marcia Seybold for Secretary).

Our next scheduled Cabinet meeting will be April 10, and possibly another one in June. We meet at 9:30 a.m. at the State Bank of Cross Plains in Mt. Horeb and would welcome any of you as guests.
